What the assistant does
The Tideflow in-app assistant is an AI-powered chat interface inside the product dashboard. It helps workspace owners quickly understand their recent call activity, review caller details, and get suggestions for follow-up actions, all without leaving the app.
Where to find it
The assistant is available at /assistant inside your Tideflow dashboard. You can access it from the main navigation. It is not an SMS-based service; the conversation happens entirely in the browser.
What you can ask
The assistant has access to your workspace data and can help with questions like:
- Who called today?
- Summarise recent missed calls
- What did the last caller need?
- Are there any callers I should follow up with?
The assistant draws on your recent call records, summaries, and transcriptions to give context-aware answers.
What the assistant does not do
- It does not send SMS or messages to callers on your behalf
- It does not make outbound calls
- It does not modify your workspace settings or integrations
- It does not have access to billing or payment information
How it differs from the AI receptionist
| AI receptionist | In-app assistant | |
|---|---|---|
| Channel | Phone (voice call) | In-app chat |
| Who uses it | Callers to your business | You (the workspace owner) |
| Purpose | Answer calls and capture details | Review activity and get insights |
| Availability | 24/7 on incoming calls | Whenever you open the dashboard |
Privacy and data access
The assistant only has access to data within your workspace. Conversations with the assistant are private and not shared with callers. See security overview for broader data handling information.
