Connect Tideflow to Slack, choose event notifications, and verify delivery with a quick test.

What the Slack integration does

The Slack integration sends real-time notifications to a Slack channel whenever Tideflow handles a call. Each notification includes the caller's details, a summary of the conversation, and a link back to the full record in your Tideflow dashboard.

This lets your team stay aware of incoming calls without checking the dashboard constantly.

How to set it up

1. Create an incoming webhook in Slack

  1. Go to api.slack.com/apps and create a new Slack app (or use an existing one).
  2. Enable Incoming Webhooks in your app settings.
  3. Add a new webhook to the workspace and choose the channel where you want notifications to appear.
  4. Copy the webhook URL. It looks like https://hooks.slack.com/services/T.../B.../...

2. Add the webhook URL in Tideflow

  1. Open your Tideflow dashboard and go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find the Slack section and paste your webhook URL.
  3. Save the integration.

3. Choose your notification events

You can choose which events trigger a Slack notification. Common options include:

  • New call handled (AI receptionist or voicemail)
  • New caller record created
  • Call summary available

4. Send a test notification

Use the test button in the Tideflow Slack settings to send a sample message to your channel. This confirms the webhook URL is correct and Slack is receiving messages.

What notifications look like

Each Slack notification typically includes:

  • Caller name and phone number
  • A short summary of what the caller needed
  • When the call happened
  • A link to view the full record in Tideflow

Troubleshooting

Notifications not arriving

  • Check the webhook URL— Make sure you copied the full URL including the /services/ path.
  • Check the Slack channel— Confirm the webhook is pointed at the right channel and the channel still exists.
  • Check Tideflow delivery logs— Look at the integration status in your Tideflow settings for any delivery errors.
  • Resend the test— Use the test button again. If the test works but real calls do not trigger notifications, check your event selection.

Webhook URL was rotated or invalidated

If you regenerated or deleted the Slack webhook, you need to update the URL in Tideflow. Old URLs will fail silently.

Limitations

  • Slack notifications are one-way. You cannot reply to a notification to take action in Tideflow.
  • Notifications go to a single channel per webhook. If you need multiple channels, set up additional webhooks.
  • Delivery depends on Slack's incoming webhook availability.
